History and Vision of Our Scout Troop

Our Scout Troop, founded in the distant year year 1967, represents one of the longest-standing and most influential scouting organizations in Macedonia. With its long-standing tradition, we nurture the scouting spirit and inspire young people to become responsible, active, and dedicated members of the community.

Mission of the Troop

The mission of our Scout Troop is to contribute to the education and development of young people through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Laws. We encourage their personal growth, inspire them to explore and learn through experiences, and help them become self-fulfilled individuals who play a constructive role in society.

Vision and Goals

Our vision is to be a modern and attractive troop, that unites young people through dynamic and inspiring activities. The goal is for young people to reach their full potential—physically, intellectually, socially, and spiritually—and to develop as responsible individuals and active members of the local, national, and international community.

Methods of Work

We work according to the scouting method, which is based on several key elements:

  • The Scout Promise and Laws: Core values that encourage young people to be honest, responsible, and dedicated.
  • Learning by Doing: Actively acquiring knowledge and skills through practical activities.
  • Teamwork: Scouts are organized into small groups (patrols), which foster a sense of teamwork and leadership.
  • Nature: Activities in nature encourage young people to respect and protect the environment.
  • Personal Development: Each scout tackles challenges that stimulate their personal growth.
  • Collaboration with Adults: Adult members support young people through mentorship and inspiration.
  • Symbolic frame: Unified structure of uniformity and symbols related to scouting.
  • Participation in the local community: Individual and collective contribution to the community.

Membership Categories

In our troop, members are divided by age:

  1. Cub Scouts (ages 7–10)
  2. Junior Scouts (ages 11–14)
  3. Scouts (ages 15–18)
  4. Explorers (ages 19–21)
  5. Seniors (21+ years, active leaders or supporters)

Every new member, after a three-month probationary period, takes the Scout Promise, which symbolizes their commitment.

Our Values

The Scout laws and principles are the foundation of our movement. We encourage members to be honest, helpful, good friends, optimistic, and lovers of nature. Through these values, we build generations that respect diversity, promote peace, and contribute to community development.
